OUR PROCESS & TIMELINE
CONSULTATION + PROPOSAL
Phase 1 | 1 - 2 Weeks
The consultation and proposal phase is a crucial part of the interior design process, serving as the foundation for a successful project. During the consultation, the designer meets with the client to understand their vision, preferences, lifestyle, and functional needs for the space. This conversation helps to establish the scope of the project, budget, and timeline, while also allowing the designer to assess the existing space and its potential. Based on this meeting, the designer creates a proposal that outlines the design concept, including mood boards, preliminary sketches, material samples, and estimated costs. The proposal offers the client a clear visual and financial understanding of the project, ensuring that both parties are aligned before moving forward into the design development phase.
PLAN + CONCEPTUALIZE + SELETIONS
Phase 2 | 2 - 8 Weeks
The planning and conceptualizing phase is where the interior design project begins to take shape creatively. After the consultation, the designer dives into research and brainstorming, developing a cohesive design concept that aligns with the client’s needs, style preferences, and functional requirements. This stage involves creating detailed floor plans, selecting color schemes, materials, furniture, lighting, and finishes, while also considering spatial flow and ergonomics. The designers create mood boards, 3D renderings, and/or concept sketches to visually communicate the idea. During this phase, client feedback is key, as revisions and adjustments ensure the design vision is refined and aligned with expectations before moving into the execution phase. This phase sets the tone for the entire project and ensures every design decision is intentional and cohesive.
SELECTIONS + IMPLEMENTATION
Phase 3 | 8+ weeks
The implementation phase is where the interior design vision comes to life, as all the planning and conceptualizing transitions into action. At this stage, the designer coordinates with contractors, suppliers, and craftsmen to ensure the project is executed according to the design plan. This includes overseeing construction work, ordering furniture and materials, and managing installations, such as lighting, flooring, and cabinetry. The designer closely monitors progress, ensuring that everything is on schedule, within budget, and adheres to the design specifications. Regular site visits and communication with the client are crucial during this phase to address any unforeseen challenges or adjustments. The goal of the implementation phase is to bring the design concept into physical reality, maintaining quality and attention to detail until the project is fully completed and the space is ready for the client’s use.
AQUIRE + INSTALL
Phase 4 | 2-4 weeks
The installing phase is the final step of the interior design process, where the completed design elements are brought together to create the finished space. This phase involves delivering and placing furniture, hanging artwork, installing lighting fixtures, window treatments, and final decorative elements. The designer works meticulously to ensure that every piece is placed according to the design plan, with attention to both functionality and aesthetic appeal. This is also when the space is styled, adding the finishing touches that elevate the design, such as accessories, plants, or custom details. Throughout the installation process, the designer makes adjustments as needed to ensure everything fits perfectly and aligns with the overall vision. Once the installation is complete, the designer conducts a final walk-through with the client to ensure their satisfaction, making sure every detail reflects the intended design before the project is officially handed over.
