6 Trends We Think You'll Love From Our Modern Ridge Two-Story
We are excited to share with you some of our favorite interior design trends from our most recently completed project, the Modern Ridge Two-story!
Quartzite Countertops
If you are looking for a durable and less-demanding countertop, quartz might be the right selection for you. Not only are these countertops practical, but they are so aesthetically stunning! This kitchen features a White Macabus Quartzite, and you will also find many beautiful quartz counters throughout this home including the butler's pantry, powder bath, lower-level bar, and upper-level bathrooms. Additionally, the great room fireplace has a quartzite surround. This beautifully crafted material is sure to stick around as a top trend for a while!
Ribbed Cabinetry Details
We heard so many complements about the ribbing detail throughout this home on the Parade of Homes tour. Adding ribbing and fluted detail creates a variety of different viewing angles and rhythm to hard textured surfaces such as cabinetry, like we did in this chef-style kitchen, mudroom, powder bath and great room. We think you will be seeing a lot more of this trend in the kitchen and beyond!
Statement Vent Hood
Although we find the island to be the hub of the kitchen (and oftentimes the entire home) we are excited about the recent fascination with a statement kitchen hood. In previous projects, we’ve hand-painted hoods and custom-ordered massive sizes to create a standout piece in the kitchen, but in this home, we used ribbing detailing to make the hood a standout feature in this chef-style kitchen. The opportunities to add personality to this feature are endless so have some fun with it!
Modern Metal Staircase
Looking to give your home a touch of modern flair? Metals can change up the environment and texture of your space. We've been installing some amazing metal staircases and custom detailing in many of our recent homes, our Modern Ridge-two story entryway was detailed with a custom glass sliding door and metal stair railings.
A Neutral, Warm Setting
Our Interior Designer Dalia Carter always does such an amazing job of adding warmth and comfort to her spaces. Take a look at the Modern European Rambler & Rustic Modern Estate if you don't believe us! This great room is no different. We love the incorporation of plush furniture, beautiful stonework, natural materials, and soft neutral tones. Deep comfy couches propped with pillows, plush rugs and tons of natural sunlight make this space the perfect spot to cozy up in.
Freestanding Bathtub
Whether you love taking a soak or not, we can’t deny that we love the aesthetic appeal of a freestanding tub in the primary bath. With heated floors and stunning selections, this bathroom suite may be too good to leave!
