Anna Cofrin, Interior Deisgner
What's your role, and how would you describe it to us?
I am an Interior Designer. I design model homes and guide homeowners in designing their own homes. We cover everything from interior paint, tile, lighting, cabinetry design, accessories and so much more.
Knowing every day is likely different can you walk me through what a typical day looks like for you?
Every day is different! I get towork by 9:00am. Check my emails and calendar for the day. On most days, I have at a client meeting scheduled. Sometimes we meet at the studio here, sometimes we meet on-site for walkthroughs, and sometimes we meet out to search for new things like tiles, lights or countertops! (and sometimes we spy her in her office walking on her walking pad taking calls, answering emails - like a boss!)
If your design style was a cocktail, what would it be?
A dirty martini! With the organic modern aesthetic I strive for, I like to use uncomplicated natural materials. I want the space to feel sophisticated, sleek and novel, but with natural colors and textures that feel soothing and familiar.

What's the most unusual object in your work space or home, and what's its story?
A metal fidget spinner! I keep one on my coffee table at home.
If you could design a room for any fictional character, who would it be and why?
Jenna from 13 Going on 30! I love the scene where she gets ready for her work party. I think it is so cute and fun. I love her urban style and it would be so fun to imagine a modern version of that aesthetic. I'd love to design a primary suite and walk in closet for
her!
What's your go-to "brainfood" when tackling a challenging project?
An oat milk latte with rose flavorfrom Fox and Pantry (if you know our team, you know we are obsessed with this spot) is my favorite brainfood! Also music. If I have a work day at my desk, I love to put my earbuds in, play the Twilight movie soundtracks and zone in.

Describe your perfect Saturday /day off:
Wake up at around 8am with no alarm, have a slow morning, walk to hot yoga, stop at whole foods on the way home, maybe chat on the phone with my sister, do some cleaning and have dinner plans downtown with friends!
What's a design trend you secretly love but wouldn’t put in your own home?
Maximalism and color! I keep my home pretty clean and minimal looking. For my own peace of mind, I like to minimize visual noise, but I love absolutely love when I have an opportunity to play with fun colors and patterns in my design projects. It is so much fun when a client has bold taste and wants to design something unique!
What's your guilty pleasure when it comes to home decor items?
Ball pillows!! I think ball pillows look so fun on any couch or chair. Whenever Morgan and I work on accessories, she knows I'm going start talking about ball pillows.
If you weren't in interior design, what would your alternative career be?
A yoga instructor! Yoga is one ofmy favorite hobbies. It would be so satisfying to spend every day in the yoga studio.

I spy a ball pillow!
If you could instantly learn one new skill, what would it be?
Using an espresso machine... I would save so much money on lattes!
Describe your ideal project to work on:
Our Summer Artisan project really was one of my favorite ones yet! It was truly an honor to work on a home with such beautiful architecture. I also loved that our whole design team worked together on it. My ideal project would be a similar architectural style to that, but placed in a secluded area on a lake or in the mountains somewhere. I would use soft and warm materials, and delicate feeling light fixtures with all gold metals.
What's the strangest place you've ever found design inspiration?
Yoga! Sometimes being in ameditative place and feeling balanced reminds me of the feeling that I want to be expressed through my designs.
What's the last thing that made you laugh out loud at work?
Probably Lindsey! She makes melaugh hard every day!
Another recent good laugh was with a client we are working with -- We were showing the presentation of our design idea for her dining room and she screamed because she loved it so much!
